Ingredients:
- Toordal 1 cup
- Red chili 1
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 2 tsp
- Garlic cloves 3 (option)
Procedure :
- Heat oil in a pan add red chili saute for 1 minute add toordal , sauté it till its colour becomes light brown.
- Add cumin seeds and sauté for few minutes.
- Remove from the flame , allow it to cool.
- Take dal in a grinder jar. Add salt and garlic.Grind it till it becomes light rough paste.
- Take chatni in a bowl.
- Serve with rice or roti
(It can be prepared with Green gram dal and also with Bengal gram dal by the same process)
